i received a message following a reboot to restore my active desktop, although I don't use it.
any way, i tried to restore my wallpaper through ultramon and no wallpaper will display. if i set a background through windows display properties it creates a double image (one on each monitor)
if i then try to restore a wallpaper with ultramon, the wallpaper goes blank and windows display properties says i have no wallpaper selected. very strange.
i am using xp sp2, ultramon 2.7 along with two identical dell monitors. i have nvdia installed, but disabled. the only software that is new to the system is google chrome.
any help would be appreciated.

What happens if you do the following:
- in Display Properties > Desktop, click on Browse and go to the folder My Documents\My Wallpapers
- select the .bmp file created for the wallpaper by UltraMon (this has the same name as the wallpaper)
- set the Show option to Tile

nothing happens.
if i open the bmp in ms paint and select it as my background, nothing happens.
if i create a new wallpaper in ultramon, select the bmp as my background, nothing happens.
if i select a previously created wallpaper in ultramon, nothing happens. in fact if i have a wallpaper selected perviously in windows display, it clears it out so that i have no background at all.
very strange.

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this, looks like the system can no longer use .bmp files as backgrounds for some reason.

Same issue..
XP Pro SP3, ATI Radeon Card, 2 JPEG images... everytime I set the background with UltraMon it clears out what I currently have set with Windows.
