Ever since installing Ultramon (x64 edition, since I run Windows XP Pro x64) my Photoshop CS (just CS, the 'old' one) crashes whenever it calls a file dialog window (Open File, Save as..., etc). And by crash I mean its suddenly gone completely. No error messages, just poof - gone. I suspect there's a problem here because Photoshop is a 32 bits program, and Ultramon is 64 bits.
After I noticed this I uninstalled Ultramon, but the problem persists! Are there any system files changed, or ultramon driver files or libraries that persist even after uninstalling the program that might be causing this problem?
Now I installed Photoshop CS3 but that has seemingly random crashes, and I'm not sure if its related to Ultramon or because CS3 is just crap. So I'd really like my old, working photoshop back :(

UltraMon doesn't make permanent system changes, with one exception: if you disabled video overlays via UltraMon Mirroring, check the monitor hardware acceleration settings as these sometimes don't get restored properly.
To do this, open Display Properties, select a monitor, then click on Advanced, select the Troubleshoot tab, and make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full.
