Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Clone mode but in different resolution?

I am setting up a media center for my buddy and have a question.

He has a 1920X1080 plasma but the HTPC case TFT only 800X600. Can Ultramon do clone mode but different resolutions to solve his problem? Are we going thru ATI CCC?

Any trial to make sure it works before buy?

Thanks for your help in advance.

In general yes, but with a couple of limitations:

- due to the different aspect ratios of the two displays, the mirror image will be distorted (no longer an issue with the next release)

- mirroring doesn't work on Vista, support for Vista will be in the next release

- if the video player uses overlays, you'll need to disable those in order for video to get mirrored, which can be a problem for the video player

A trial version of UltraMon can be downloaded here.

Hi Christian,

Sounds like the next release is what I can use to help my friend. Can I be a beta tester, can I get a beta trial copy please?

All betas get released publicly, you'll be able to download a 30-day trial version.
