I'm running Vista SP2 with 2 monitors (if it makes a difference they are running 2 difference resolutions).
I also have Smart Taskbar turned on the second monitor.
When I disable the second monitor it causes all kinds of graphical glitches (things like leaving black squares on the screen, adding things to the taskbar which shouldn't be there, putting the ultramon buttons (send to other monitor/span monitors) buttons up on the desktop not attached to any windows). The only way to fix the glitches is by closing the program they relate to.
The next time this happens I will take a screenshot. I think it seems to happen when I first close my laptop screen (primary monitor) which then makes my secondary monitor the primary, then I open the laptop screen again and it makes the laptop the primary monitor again.
Anyway wondering if you have seen it before as it has been happening a lot to me lately. I will take screenshots / write down what I did to cause it when it happens next.

Which version of UltraMon are you using? I tested on 32-bit Vista with UltraMon 3.0.2, worked fine.

I am seeing similar behavior with 3.0.2 on Vista Business on notebook computer. The main glitch is a small window in the bottom left corner. It appears do to an problem when I enable the secondary on external monitor with notebook on docking station. Sometimes I can use TaskManager to kill the process (window) but it doesn't always have a title so it doesn't appear in the Applications dialog.

3.0.2 of Ultramon. The problem just happen again, here is a screenshot.
As I said it doesn't happen everytime. Since I made that post it hadn't happened again until today.
As the arrows point out. On my primary monitor a little windows appears at the top of the screen which when I click makes a system beep and I can't do anything with. Also a msn messenger window appears in the task bar but clicking it has no affect and when I actually do open msn it displays in a seperate task bar item (which has "Windows Live Messenger" written in it like usual).

I'm having the same issue. Using UltraMon to enable the secondary monitor seems to bring up windows that should be hidden to the user. Enabling it through Window's display properties does not cause the glitches. I'm running Vista SP1 64-bit.

Do you have the same problem when enabling the monitor via UltraMon menu > Display Settings?
