I use Yahoo Widgets on Vista SP1 and have two widgets each on its own monitor. 8 times out of 10 when I restart my computer an instance of Yahoo Widgets gets added to the smart taskbar and just stays there until I restart ultramon. Nothing happens when you try to click or right-click. I think it has something to do with the slideout manager type thing that sits on side of my 2nd desktop. You hover over it with your mouse and it flies out. Sometimes when you click it, it crashes Ultramon.

What's the error message you get when UltraMon crashes?

I haven't actually seen it crash in awhile. But I think it was just the same old error as alot have seen:
Source file: .\taskband.cpp Line: 710 Return value: 0 Last error: 1400
I was just tired of having the instance sit there everytime I restart..

This issue should be fixed in the next release.

I know you said the crash would be fixed in the next release but will the instance sit there anymore without having a way to get it off and not having to restart ultramon everytime I start the computer?

That should no longer be an issue, the error you get is due to a task button getting added which shouldn't be there.

I dont know if its your experiment with the new taskbar file you gave me or what but this is still there. It did't happen with the original 3.0.3 taskbar file but I didn't really use it enough to find out.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this issue, I tested with the analog clock on one monitor, and a day planner on the other.
Does restarting UltraMon or Yahoo Widgets always fix the problem?

Yes, restarting either one always fixes it that particular time.
The dock that hides on the side of my secondary monitor is where I think that instance on the taskbar is coming from. You have to hover over it to make it slide out.

Maybe it's a timing issue, please try if delaying UltraMon startup fixes the problem.
To do this, run regedit.exe, go to the key 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\<version>', double-click on the AutoStartDelay value, select Decimal, then enter the number of seconds by which automatic startup should be delayed. I would try something like 10 or 20 seconds.

And Im not saying that this happens everytime. Its just there after I boot everyonce in a while.. Its not there on warm boots. But most of the time on cold boots..

Ok ill report back if the delay fixes it.
