In the 3.0 Beta 2.1 realse note said:
"UltraMon.exe may use 100% CPU when minimizing a fullscreen Media Player Classic window"
The compatibility is still there. In the Beta 2.1, explorer.exe CPU usage will rise to 95%+ aas soon as I click "Enabled Secondary".

Which version of Windows are you using?
Do you have the same problem if you enable the secondary monitor via UltraMon menu > Display Settings?
So far I haven't seen this issue myself, I tested on 32-bit Vista with UltraMon 3.0.2. explorer.exe temporarily used more CPU, but then quickly dropped back to 0%.

I'm using 32-bit vista home basic on my laptop connecting to a secondary 1280x1024 LCD.
Unfortunately I sent my monitor back for repair today, so I can't do further testing in a few days.

It seems this problem is fixed on 3.0.3

It turns out the bug is still there in 3.0.3 beta. But the good news is I found this bug only reproduce when I set "Process Priority" to "Normal". No bug under "Low" or "Below normal".
