hello, when trying to install ultramon on 32 bit vista, installation freezes right at the beginning, when computing space requirements. can anyone tell me what to do?

Please make sure the setup file isn't corrupted, you can do this by checking the file's digital signature as described here.

yep digital signature is ok.
I now seem to be having the same or similar problem with a few other apps such as daemon tools and microsoft office, the installation will not go past the very start. rather frustrating when these are 3 programs that I get a lot of use out of.
ever heard of anything like that?

Sounds like an issue with Windows Installer, if you haven't done this already try if restarting the system fixes the problem.
