Hi,

I've got the latest beta installed (3.0.3 beta) on Vista 32bit and everytime I start up I get a message from Windows Defender saying "Microsoft needs more information about this software". It wants me to send a report about UltraMon.exe to Microsoft. So I send it, and the the message is back the next time I reboot...

Any ideas what would be causing it / how to stop it?

Cheers

There's an option 'Software that has not yet been classified for risks' under Options, 'Choose if Windows Defender should notify you about', my guess would be that you have this option checked, and you get notified because Windows Defender isn't familiar with UltraMon 3.0.3 Beta.

Hi,

Cheers for the reply.

I've checked Defender and I don't have that option checked, but it's still telling me about UltraMon - I have various other "not yet been classified" software that doesn't cause a similar notification..

I guess it may be being picked up by the "Use heuristics to detect potentially harmful or unwanted behaviour by software that hasn't been analyzed for risks"?

I have just added the Ultramon folder to the "Advanced | Do not scan these files or locations" option for now, but it would be good to not have to...

Thanks

simple solution -- don't use the trash MS defender software, it is mad buggy. this is not studer's fault.
