Immediately following installation, I get the following:
UltraMon encountered a fatal error and will exit. More Information:
Version: 3.0.3 OS 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 x32 Source File ..\UMSettings.cpp Line 482 Missing Information: AppName, ResDll Return value: 5 Last Error: 2
This same error pops up when I try to launch the program from my Start Menu. I've not tried to restart, but will do so now and post back if it fixes it.
I am running an ATI Radeon 9600 Series, deiver version 8.522.0.0 7/31/2008

You'll get this error if UltraMon doesn't have read access to the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Realtime Soft\UltraMon.
To fix this, run regedit.exe, right-click the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Realtime Soft\UltraMon, then select Permissions from the menu and give your user account Read permissions.

I'm getting the following error upon install. Editing the registry permissions doesn't seem to make a difference.
Version: 3.0.3 OS: 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 x64 Source file: .\MultimonGUI.cpp Line: 2807 Return value: 0 Last error: 1456
Any thoughts? Cheers.

Campbell, this happens if the mirroring feature isn't installed, will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks for that. Works fine now, although the Move Window button regularly gets stuck over on the left hand side of the title bar (guessing this is a known bug). Cheers.

This should be fixed in 3.0.3, also haven't seen this myself so far.
Did you notice what causes the problem, or if it only happens with specific applications?

I had this problem on my system. I discovered that it was because the apporpriate keys in the registry were somehow created without proper ownership.
Note: I am running my system with UAC turned off, so you may need to be aware of running regedit as Administrator. I have not tested that aspect of this.
Note: When you are presented with an error prompt saying you do not have appropriate permissions, etc, simply click OK and proceed to the next step.
Note: When performing the following procedure, I had installed Ultramon, received the above mentioned error messages, but had not uninstalled it in anyway.
To correct this problem and give appropriate ownership/rights to the required registry keys, do the following: 1. open regedit. 2. Locate HKLM\SOFTWARE\Realtime Soft 3. Right Click on Realtime Soft 4. Click Permissions 5. Click Advanced 6. Select Owner Tab 7. Select from the "Change Owner to:" list a user that as appropriate (admin) rights on your system. 8. Click Apply and OK 9. In the "Permissions for Realtime Soft" window, click Add 10. Type in the windows username of a user that is trying to install Ultramon 11. Click OK 12. Put a Check in Full Control 13. Click OK 14. Close Regedit. 15. open regedit. 16. Locate HKLM\SOFTWARE\Realtime Soft\UltraMon 17. Right click on UltraMon 18. Repeat steps 4 through 14.
At this point, I reran UltraMon installation, selected modify installation, and selected all options.
