Hi,
My main monitor is bigger than my second monitor. When I start a remote desktop client, it opens on my main monitor. I'd like to maximize it to my second monitor.
Is it possible for the UltraMon move button to notice that the application is being moved to a monitor for which it fills the screen, and maxime it after the move?
Even better would be if UltraMon could maximize the terminal desktop client after starting up. But the client shows an initial progress screen, so UltraMon ends up maximizing the progress screen.
Cheers, Wessel

That's not supported, but you could do this with the MoveAndMaximizeWnd script.

Thanks for your suggestion.
I've downloaded the script and bound it to a hotkey. When I click the hotkey, a small rectangular blue window labelled "UltraMon" appears on the top left of the screen. This window is moved between monitors on successive hotkey clicks. The script has no effect on the previously active window.
I'm running Vista x64 btw.
Cheers, Wessel

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this, works fine for me on 64-bit Vista SP1 with UltraMon 3.0.3. I tested with Notepad and Internet Explorer.

Thanks for your reply. After restarting UltraMon, it worked again.
The Remote Desktop is now moved to the second monitor, but it ends up not being really maximized. RD windows can be maximized without a window bar-- they make the screen look like you're at the other computer, not displaying the taskbar of your PC. In that mode, you get a yellow drop down menu if you hover your mouse in the top middle of your screen.
The "real" maximize mode happens automatically if you move the window over and then click Maximize. But it doesn't happen with the maximize script.
If you have any suggestions for scripting a real maximize, they'd be much appreciated.

I'm not sure if there's a fix for this. I've seen the behavior you mention as well, with the remote desktop window switching to fullscreen mode, but currently on my system the window gets moved to the top-left corner of the screen, both when clicking on the maximize button and when using the script. Maybe this behavior is affected by a configuration option.

It becomes full screen if the Remote Desktop size matches the entire screen size. For example, my second monitor is 1280x1024. If I set the RD display size to 1280x1024, and move it to my second monitor, it will maximize with the yellow bar.
