looking for a solution to get 3 seperate displays. I have a laptop docking station with vga and dvi outputs and 2 additional monitors. Running XP Pro. Will UltraMon allow 3 displays (laptop+2 monitors)or do I need a seperate video card to accomplish this?

If you can't get the 2 monitors + the laptop screen to all be active without UltraMon, it won't be any different with UltraMon.
You could try a USB video card for one of the monitors if you really want to use all 3.
