I am installing 3.0.3 and the install is asking for UltraMon_3.0.1_en_x32[1].msi which I have never installed. I can't run the install or uninstall the exsting copy. Not sure what to do.

This happens if UltraMon can't remove the previous installation, to fix this download 3.0.1 then right-click the .msi file and select Uninstall from the menu. You should then be able to install the new version.

Surely it would be good practice if the release notes on

said this??? (or else if 3.0.0 removed old versions?!!)

In general this isn't an issue because the system keeps a copy of all setups. You only get this if the Windows Installer cache was cleared.
