When mirroring to an external display with UltraMon, there is a significant delay on the secondary monitor. Is there any way to improve performance? Does this have to do with how powerful the graphics card is? The laptop uses the Intel Graphics 845 chipset, so there is a mirroring option within the Intel utility, but due to numerous issues with the Intel driver for Vista, we are trying to avoid using the Intel utility all together.

Mirroring performance depends on several factors, for example the video card, processor speed, overall processor usage, etc.
Some things you can do:
- check the 'use same resolution as source monitor for mirror monitor' option
- increase the screen update rate, by default the mirror screen only gets updated 5 times per second
- use the application or desktop mirror mode to mirror a smaller part of the monitor
