Will Ultramon work if the second output is an LCD TV and not a monitor? Good to know before we spend $1700 on a TV.

That will work fine, as far as UltraMon is concerned the TV is just a regular monitor.
Do you want to use UltraMon to mirror a monitor on the TV? If yes, I would recommend testing performance first if possible.
