Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Ultramon 3.3 consumes up to 50% of CPU & doesn't work

Ever since I installed version 3.3 a month or so ago, Ultramon no longer appears but consumes as much as 50% of CPU resources (in task manager). I have gotten into routine of ending process evey time I restart computer.

Version I had before was 3.1. Should I just reinstall that or should I try 3.2?

Will 3.1/3.2 reinstall over 3.3 or do I have to uninstall 3.3. first. If so, will I then need to unearth my install key?

Thanks for your help

I'm not sure what would cause this, but maybe it's related to the issue with the window buttons other users have reported.

To try if disabling the window buttons fixes the problem, run regedit.exe, then go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Realtime Soft\UltraMon\<version>\Window Buttons and change the value of 'Maximize to Desktop Button' and 'Move Window Button' from one to zero.

I would probably go back to 3.0.2, but if you had no issues with 3.0.1 you could also install that version. You'll need to uninstall 3.0.3 first, then install the older version, you can access your registration information online.
