I use a Dell 420 with a 1280 x800 screen and a 17 in monitor with a 1280 x 1040 screen. I have quite a few folders on my dsktop for various aspects of different work projects.
Ultramon constsantly moves icons to top or left or middle of the small screen. I've tried locking icons, saving and restoring positions, turning that function off, upgrading, beta-ing... Makes no difference. Any ideas? No fun to fight with a utility day in and day out.

I'm not sure what would cause this, but if you have unchecked the 'preserve position of desktop icons' option, UltraMon will no longer save or restore icon positions (only if you use UltraMon menu > Disable/Enable Secondary).

I have unchecked that option. Tnen Ultramon moves the icons anyway, and to return them I have to drag them manually. Sometimes if the options is elected, Ultra,mom will restore them, usually not to the original position, but to something better than what it's done.
This behavior alwys occur when the computer goes to and comes back from standby

It's unlikely that this would be related to UltraMon, to verify this, check if the problem still occurs if UltraMon isn't running or installed.
