The issue I am having is the windows I have open on the second monitor with the ultramon task bar, hide behind the taskbar after locking my computer and logging back in. I am pretty sure google desktop is causing the conflict because I have google desktop installed and open on my first monitor, and if I close it and reopen it ( select no sidebar, and reselect the desktop sidebar). It will fix the problem. I have not tried to uninstall google desktop to see if the problem goes away, but I did not have this problem prior to installing it. Is there anything on the ultramon side I can do to fix this? Thank!

Does restarting UltraMon fix the problem as well?
To close UltraMon, right-click the UltraMon icon in the system tray and select Close from the menu, you can restart UltraMon via Start Menu > Programs.

I moved google desktop to the 2nd monitor, the one running the ultramon task bar, and the issue goes away. I had it running on the first desktop with the windows task bar. So I will just run with that, feel free to looking into the issue if you want.

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this issue, I tested with UltraMon 2.7.1 and Google Desktop 5.8.809.23506 on Windows XP SP3.
Your issue sounds similar to something reported by other users, for a workaround see this thread.

I am using SP2 so not sure if that will make a differance. But like I said I found a work around to the problem, just move the google desktop sidebar over to the second monitor thats running the ultramon taskbar and the problems goes away.

I have a similar issue, but instead of rearranging things it actually shuts the second monitor off.
Using a tablet PC in laptop mode, with an Intel graphics 945GM Express chip, 128mb, and an external monitor.
When I lock the computer (windows key+L or other methods) it looks OK. But when I login again, it refreshes everything and the second monitor shuts off. I tried the 3.0.3 beta and had the same problem.
I have google desktop installed also, and played with where the sidebar was located and even shut it off, but still have this error when locking the computer.
No problems otherwise.

Rob, that's most likely an issue with the video card driver. To verify this, check if you still have the problem without UltraMon running or installed.

I uninstalled Ultramon and went solo with the video card options. Same problem. I installed their latest update, but that didn't fix it. So I guess I have to live with this :(
The last shot is uninstalling Google desktop to see if that is the problem...
