for some reason, my TV display resolution is forced to a physical size that is the same as my monitor. the graphics resolution says it is running at native 1920x1080, but the actual size is 1680x1050. it worked properly before i attempted to install ultramon, and it looks like ultramon screwed it up, and is locking both displays to the same resolution this it ticking me off, i cant seem to find any setting for it, and i cant figure out what to call it to try and search for a fix basically, my 1080p TV is displaying 1680x1050, leaving a huge outer unused black square as it is, it looks like the only way to remove this is to reinstall windows, to totally wipe out the ultramon install....and never install it again.....

Seems unlikely that this is related to UltraMon, to verify this check if uninstalling UltraMon fixes the problem, UltraMon makes no permanent changes to system settings.

hmmm, could this have mebe been caused by installing the wrong version of ultramon....cuz i installed one of the pre-vista versions, and thats when the problem showed up, ( i seem to have somehow managed to not mention vista in my previous post...) i then uninstalled it, and reinstalled the correct version, 3.0 something beta

Most likely not, if you installed a pre-2.7.1 version of UltraMon with the mirroring feature selected, you would get a message that a driver couldn't get installed when restarting the system, but otherwise this shouldn't cause any problems. See this thread for a fix for this issue.
