I am running a 3 monitor system on a p4-1.6ghz machine with a AGP GeForce 2 GTS card as my primary, and 2 PCI GeForce 2 MX cards as my secondary. Ever sine I replaced my old voodoo cards with the PCI Geforces i have been having slow startups with both windows 2000, and now windows xp. I have recently completed a fresh install hoping that this problem would no longer exsit, however its still happening. Anyone have any tricks or settings that i could change to get this pc to boot faster? I have the same machine but with only 1 video card and it boots up about 10x faster than this 3 monitor system.

Thanks,

Shane

The additional monitors do add to the boot time, but on my system it's only about 5-10 seconds (also WinXP and 3 Nvidia cards, dual P2-400).

Hmm.. I tried the latest nvidia drivers, and for some reason they cause my computer to reboot when i try to use a program and spread it accross more than one monitor.

however they did make my computer boot faster.

Any suggestions?
