I may have messed up some settings, but when I start mirroring, the secondary monitor shows literally the mirror image (backwards and upside down like you're looking in a mirror) of whats on my primary monitor.

If you're using version 3.0.2 or earlier of UltraMon, go to mirroring settings > Options, then make sure both special effects options are unchecked.
With version 3.0.3, open mirroring settings, click Next until you come to the page with the options, then make sure both flip mirror image options are unchecked.
