Once every now and then my monitors flash and a ballon message pops up saying the display driver had stopped responding and had to be restarted. This started occuring shortly after I installed the Ultramon 3.0.3 Beta.
My computer: OS: Windows Vista SP1 Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 (Newest drivers) Monitor1: Samsung SyncMaster T200 (DVI) Monitor2: Samsung SyncMaster 913N (VGA with DVI adapter)

My guess would be that this is due to something else, to verify this check if you still have the problem without UltraMon running or installed.
I also haven't seen this myself so far with 3.0.3 on Vista.

Unfortunately I don't know what would cause this, UltraMon shouldn't be able to cause problems for a display driver.

Hi. I have been a registered UltraMon user with XP for years and upgraded to the Beta 3.07 when I went Vista. I have exactly the same problem and solution as the user who started this thread. About twice each day, the screens go black and after 10-20 seconds, a balloon says "the video display driver stopped responding and has been restarted". Sometimes it recovers and I keep working. Other times it repeats the cycle and goes to a blue screen of death restart. If I turn off UltraMon, the video driver failures stop all together. I have a high confidence that the failure is caused by Ultramon. I keep watching for a beta update that fixes the problem. I have run every Vista update and downloaded the newest graphics drivers. My PC specs are: Dell Precision T3400 Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz 4 GB RAM Windows Vista Business Thanks, Don

Sorry, I left out that I am using an ATI FireGL V3600 graphics card installed by the manufacturer.

This has to be an issue with the display driver, maybe triggered by something UltraMon does. A display driver should never crash due to something a regular application like UltraMon does.
