I am writing an AutoIT script where I need to stop UltraMon on a remote PC, run a task on the remote PC, and then restart UltraMon on the remote PC. I have completed part 1 (stop UltraMon) and 2 (Run remote task), but when I restart UltraMon on the remote PC, I cannot get UltraMonTaskbar.exe to start. Can anyone help?

You should only need to start UltraMon.exe, this will launch UltraMonTaskbar.exe automatically if the Smart Taskbar is enabled.

I have tried that, but I am still experiencing a problem. I have a test PC that I am working against. I log into it using the same account as my production PC. When I run UltraMon.exe locally on the test PC, UltraMonTaskbar.exe automatically starts, but when I run UltraMon.exe remotely via PSEXEC from my production PC, UltraMon.exe starts but UltraMonTaskbar.exe does not start. And if I try to start it seperately via PSEXEC , it flashes in the Windows Task Manager, but does not start.

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this. Also haven't been able to test this myself, I always get an access denied error when trying to run an app remotely via psexec.

So far it appears that only the person actually logged in can launch UltraMonTaskbar.exe. That is why when I start UltraMon.exe, the Taskbar isn't starting. I am not sure there is a fix for this...
