Forums -> UltraMon™ -> problems with an application's 'faux-maximise' button

Hi,

I've been trying out Ultramon and it may well be useful to me. To set the scene, I use a multi-monitor setup to play poker. I have a number of game windows on each screen, so it struck me that Ultramon could be useful. I am always looking for ways to streamline my environment as I have lots of windows open across my screens.

Unfortunately I'm having a nightmare with one of the main applications, PartyPoker.com, one of the most popular poker sites. You can download PartyPoker for free if you want to try and reproduce my problems.

The main "lobby" window - which is the main window that appears when you start up the PartyPoker client software - has a sort of "maximise" button that isn't really a normal maximise button. In reality it is a custom button for switching between two difference possible window sizes, neither of which is actually maximised. Unfortunately, this really confuses Ultramon! When the window is at its small size, it works fine. But when it is at its large size, Ultramon seems to prevent it from being moved around, so it gets fixed in the middle of the screen.

Worst of all, if I move the lobby window to my right monitor, which is smaller than my left monitor, "maximising" it to the larger size causes it to be shown off-centre, so part of the window is off-screen. My monitors are 1920x1200 and 1280x1024 respectively.

Are there known problems with certain applications? Unfortunately this seriously reduces the usefulness of Ultramon.

Thanks in advance!
Kind regards

Did you try the "disable dragging of maximized windows"
And "use alternative method to move maximized windows" compatibility settings?
Maybe this will fix your issue
