Downloaded 3.0.4 and am now unable to see the window buttons on top right. Running Vista - they seem to be there because I can get the drop down with a right click in the header??

So far I haven't been able to reproduce this with Excel 2007 on 32-bit Vista, let me know if there's anything special I need to do to reproduce this issue.

This is a different issue, I've been able to reproduce the Office 2003 issue and will look into this for the next release.
