I have a monitor-LCD HDTV setup running, with the TV to the left of the monitor. It used to be that wallpapers would no longer apply correctly, but that was fixed when I updated.
Now my problem is that when I have it in the correct display configuration (TV left of monitor) and wall paper applied, whenever I do not have a program open my task bar is solid gray. If I have a program open it goes to the transparent black/gray that I want it to have. If I switch it so that the monitor is to the left of the TV that problem is not present.

This is a Vista issue, happens if you have a monitor to the left of the primary. I'm not aware of a fix for this.
