I installed the new beta version and it's all buggy, sometimes the icon messes up then when i click minimize it stays there, the window minimizes but the icon still there, clickable. -.- annoying as hell

Is this only with MSN Messenger? If yes, which version are you using?

I don't have access to version 8.5 for testing, but with the latest 14.0 release I haven't been able to reproduce those issues so far. Please try if you still have the problem with version 14.0.

Build 8.5 is Version 13.
I installed the latest, (it must be pretty new, it was BETA last year), Build 14, it works fine, the only bug is that when you open a new convosation it seems to dip down a bit, it's like 8-10 pixels to low, when you click to switch monitor, it does go back into place. it doesn't go back into place if you move the window around. It doesnt go back into place if you resize the window. If you minimize it doesnt go back into place.
Hope that helps.

Edit: On the newest MSN Build 14 it still sticks onto the desktop.
I am using 64bit Vista if it helps.

I have now tested on 64-bit Vista as well, but so far haven't had any problems, minimizing the contacts and conversation windows caused no orphaned buttons and when opening a new conversation the buttons were positioned correctly.
Are you using any special settings, for example a custom font (DPI) size? Anything special I would need to do to reproduce the issue?

Nope, hmmm.
I have the normal Vista-Ultimate installation, 64bit, running 8GB ram.
I use Nvidia GFX. 9800.
Aero theme turned on. With transparency.
Other than that, I cannot think of anything else.
I do run MSN Plus? But i dont think that would effect it?

I'm aware of an issue with Messenger Plus when chat tabs are enabled, with multiple active chats moving a chat window causes an orphaned window button to remain behind. I'll look into this for a later release.
