Hi, folks. I am hoping someone has some advice in Ultramon-land. The ATI forums weren't real responsive (okay, not at all responsive) and perhaps there is a way to fix this via Ultramon.
I've got a Sapphire 4850x2 card and I am having some trouble with the refresh rate on one monitor.
The card is working normally as far as I can tell. I am using the Sapphire drivers as all the posts suggest and have a Viewsonic VP920b LCD and an Acer AL1916W wide screen LCD. The problem is with the Acer.
For some reason, the refresh rate on the Acer keeps setting itself back down to 60hz. This results in a blurry image on the screen. If I go into the Catalyst control center and set it to 75hz all is well until the next reboot or I exit from a game, at which point it resets back to 60hz. I can't seem to get the 75hz to stick.
When I right-click Ultramon, select "Display Settings" and then the monitor in question, my refresh rate options are Default and 60hz, which is different from what the Catalyst Control Panel reports.
Is there any way I can force the refresh rate to remain constant via Ultramon? Or any other way? I am open to suggestions.
Thanks! Ultramon has rocked my dual-monitor world for years now.

Default is usually the same as 60 Hz, you could try if you can get 75 Hz in UltraMon as well by going to Display Properties > Advanced > Monitor, then uncheck 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display'.
If this works, you could then set up an UltraMon display profile which applies the desired settings at system startup.
