Hello,
I have recently discovered that when using Putty with UltraMon Smart Task Bar and your putty connection suddenly gets disconnected it appears as though putty.exe and ultramontaskbar.exe both start using a high amount of CPU. This also locks the putty window up and you have to kill it via Task Manager. I thought this was simply an issue with an old XP install I was running, however this has occurred now on multiple systems running multiple video cards (both ATI and nvidia) and they all exhibit this same behavior. This not only renders that putty session/window unusable (locked up) but also slows the entire system down by a very noticeable factor.
Putty version is the current public version (0.60).
UltraMon is currently running 3.0.4 (beta).
Windows XP 32-bit with SP3 (also happens with SP2 and SP1). All systems are as current as can be within their respective service packs.
Number of Monitors: 2 to 3 Video Card(s): ATI X1900XT and GeForce 9600 RAM: Doesn't Matter
I don't mind testing portions of UltraMon to help try and track this down, but I would really like to see this corrected.
Regards, N
