Ever since I switched to Vista & Ultramon 3.x, I've noticed a large degree of lag on the Ultramon title-bar buttons when moving applications around the screen. It is noticeably worse in 3.0.4. There is about a half-second delay on the Ultramon buttons when moving application windows around. (This is not a problem with the system being "busy" elsewhere. It happens even when my computer is perfectly idle.)
As well, when I launch certain applications, the Ultramon titlebar buttons are blurred, as if they were located behind the title-bar, though clicking on the buttons still works normally. An easy example of this is Thunderbird (v2.0.0.14).
Over-all, Ultramon 3.0.4 seems to be a regression from 3.0.3.
I am running 64-bit Vista SP1 with an NVidia 7900gtx, driver version 178.24.

I'm not sure what would cause the lag, I'm not seeing this with 3.0.4 on 64-bit Vista. Do you have any special software installed, maybe a shell/desktop enhancement or something similar?
Thunderbird works fine for me with 3.0.4, so far I haven't noticed any issues with the window buttons. One thing that can happen: if the window has a very long caption, the text may be visible behind the UltraMon window buttons, unfortunately there's no fix for this, happens because the application doesn't know the UltraMon buttons are there.

I have no desktop enhancers. As far as I can tell, the only possible software I am actively running that could in some way be interacting with UltraMon is the nvidia driver stuff.
Just in case, I'll do some testing and start killing processes - see if one of them might be the other half of the problem.
As to the caption: that is not the problem. When Thunderbird launches, it reads "Mail/News Client" and that is all.

Well, I figured out Thunderbird, although it is not the only application I've seen do this - just the one that I use the most often.
Anyhoo, when I disabled the Splash plugin (http://www.mrtech.com/extensions/), the Ultramon buttons no longer appeared hidden.
This plugin loads a small splash screen window before the main Thunderbird window opens.
Once again, I have seen this glitch in other softwares. I'll have to pay more attention from now on, and see if it's only apps that have a splash screen.

I have now tested with Splash 2.0.0.2 and Thunderbird 2.0.0.19, but so far haven't seen the issue. Let me know if you find out anything else.
