Hi all,
Like everyone else, I have a large LCD primary monitor connected to my laptop (HDMI). The laptop's inbuilt screen shares the desktop but I don't use it that much.
It annoys me that the laptop's inbuilt screen is on all the time despite hardly being used.
What I want is for it to power off if the mouse isn't moved onto it for a certain amount of time, and then to power on again if it is. Or,failing that, to have a hotkey that lets me power it on/off. Note that this should NOT move windows around between monitors.
Is this something that UltraMon can help with?
If not, it would make a useful addition. Many people rely primarily on their big external monitors in the office, and it's a waste of energy and laptop longevity (LCD backlights dont last forever) to have the laptop's own screen on when it isn't being used.
Cheers, Chris

UltraMon can't do this. I looked into this some time ago, but didn't find a way to put only a single monitor on standby.
