I'd like to have specific apps open on my secondary monitor, but when I make a shortcut assigning the program to the secondary monitor it assumes the resolution of the primary. Unfortunately my primary is the smaller of the two monitors (as I'd like to have important things show up on the non-media/game screen) and the aspect ratio is way off. Anything I can do to fix this?

Sounds like you configured custom display settings for the application on the UltraMon - Display tab, you can configure custom position settings on the UltraMon - Window tab.
