Forums -> Multiple monitors -> Taskbar icons appear on different monitor than application window

Hello,

I posted something similar in another thread but the problem has changed. I have three monitors and the configuration is 2-3-1 from left to right, #3 is the primary. When I open an app from the shortcut icon on the #3 monitor desktop, the window opens on #3 but the taskbar icon opens on monitor #1. If I move the window from monitor #1 to #3 the taskbar icon moves to monitor #3. Monitor #2 works fine: if I open a window on it the taskbar icon is also on the monitor.

Here’s my system information with UltraMon 2.7.1 Windows XP

3 monitors
Current desktop: 3072x768 (-1024,0 - 2048,768)

Monitor 1 - Plug and Play Monitor:
Settings: 1024x768, 32-bit color, 75 Hz refresh rate
Coordinates: 1024,0 - 2048,768. Workspace: 1024,0 - 2048,738
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Device: \\.\DISPLAY1\Monitor0

Monitor 2 - Plug and Play Monitor:
Settings: 1024x768, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate
Coordinates: -1024,0 - 0,768. Workspace: -1024,0 - 0,738
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Device: \\.\DISPLAY2\Monitor1

Monitor 3 - Plug and Play Monitor (primary):
Settings: 1024x768, 32-bit color, 60 Hz refresh rate
Coordinates: 0,0 - 1024,768. Workspace: 0,0 - 1024,738
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Device: \\.\DISPLAY3\Monitor0

I’ve tried to figure it out but no luck. Thanks for any advice.
