This is probably a stupid oversight on my part, but the move monitor and stretch buttons are not on any screens other than IE.
I am running vista and verson 3.0.4 Beta
This is by far the greatest feature.
What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the same problem with Notepad and Command Prompt from Programs > Accessories?

I have the same issue with a new install, and am running XP.

I have the same problem, the buttons for move window and spread across two monitors are missing and I have tro right click>move to other monitor to achieve it.

Banny 2009-03-04 05:27
And yes, the problem exists with notepad and cmd and all programs. I am on Vista and have Ultramon on another PC that works fine (an earlier version) on Vista.

Which version of UltraMon are you using?

Matt, I'm aware of an issue with the window buttons not getting added to Office 2003 applications, will look into this for the next release.

I've noticed that while the buttons can't be seen, they still exist. From any page (including Note and cmd), if I space it right I can click in just the right spot and move whatever page I'm viewing to my other monitor, or maximize it to my desktop.

Paul, make sure you have 3.0.1 or later installed, with earlier versions the buttons won't work on Vista if you're using the Aero theme.

Thanks, but as I mentioned above I'm running XP with all the updates. I also run WindowsBlinds, but haven't had a problem with it in the past. Just after this install.
|
Christian Studer 2009-03-12 12:00
I'm seeing this as well with WindowBlinds on XP. It's probably something WindowBlinds does, not sure what though, looks like everything should work fine (the buttons are positioned correctly, should be visible, etc).

The thing that I don't understand is why it worked before I had to reinstall Windows. I have run the same setup for the last 5 years without an issue.
|
Christian Studer 2009-03-19 10:19
Paul, not sure what would cause this. Are you using a different version of UltraMon or WindowBlinds?
Christian Studer - www.realtimesoft.com
|
Paul 2009-03-21 01:56
Yes, both versions were the same as before, as I made a backup folder to launch them from before the reinstall. Anyway, I just downgraded to version 2.7.1 and everything is back to normal.
|
Christian Studer 2009-03-21 11:48
Unfortunately I don't know what might have caused this. Version 2 handles the buttons differently than 3.0, this would explain why it works with 2.7.1.

I have just installed ultramon version 2 7 1 (64) on my new vista pc and the buttons for moving page to other monitor are not visible i can click where should be and the pages move but i can not see. Any ideas pls ??

Christian Studer 2009-08-21 08:40
You'll need to install the 3.0 beta, version 2 doesn't support Aero on Vista.
