I am trying to set up a 6800XT 128MB (Leadtek if I remember correctly) card with a Samsung Syncmaster 170 and a Samsung 40" LCD. I am running the TV dvi-to-hdmi and attempting to get the monitor to run out of the VGA on the card.
If I put the TV from dvi out to hdmi in, the TV displays fine (40" wall mount monitor and cordless KB/mouse is HOT, heh). However, as soon as I plug the monitor into the VGA (while PC is shut down, of course), the TV stops displaying and won't even detect the hdmi input. The monitor displays fine, and the display settings show both screens.
Driver is latest, running Win 7 beta (Vista II...)
Anyone else had this problem, and if so, is it something that normally would work?
