Hi. I had UltraMon_2.7.1_en_x32 installed on my windows xp, but then I had a little problem with my new monitor so I deleted it and installed the beta 3.0.4 version. It didn't solve it so I deleted it and tried to install 2.7.1 again, but now I get
"A newer version of this product is already installed, you'll need to uninstall the newer version first before installing an older version of the product"..
I am stupid because I didn't uninstall either of the versions, I just deleted them and now I can't install any of them. I have tried to remove everything I find on UltraMon with regedit, but theres 1 folder I can't delete. It's called Ultramonutility or something like that, won't allow me to delete it.
Can anyone help me please? The windows multiscreen function sucks.

Can you uninstall UltraMon via Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs?
If it's not listed, download 3.0.4 again, then right-click the .msi file and select Uninstall from the menu.

It is not in the Add and Remove Programs feature, and when I try to uninstall the way you say, I get this:
"The configuration data for this product is corrupt. Contact your support personnel."

Deleting the setup data should fix the problem, to do this:
1) download MsiZap, then extract the ZIP file to a folder of your choice
2) open a command prompt as administrator, then run the following command:
MsiZap.exe TW {1C94C999-15D2-4C75-9A73-BCC8A677D42E}
You may need to include the path to MsiZap.exe, for example: C:\Temp\MsiZap.exe

Thank you, I could now install Ultramon. However, when I try to run it i get this error message:
"Failed to create UltrMonSystem object."

You would get this if a component didn't get registered properly during setup, repairing your installation should fix the problem. To do this, go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, select UltraMon, click on the support information link, then click on Repair.

Unfortunately I don't know what would cause this, do you have any security software installed which might interfere with this, for example by preventing access to certain registry keys?
One thing you could try is to manually register the component, to do this open a command prompt as administrator and run the following command:
regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\UltraMon.dll
