When I am working with MS Office files (mostly Excel), I get a bunch of extra items in the task bar that say things like [file], [ply], some will be empty [ ] etc. in addition to the ones for each file I have open. Eventually my whole task bar gets filled up. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Sounds similar to the issue I am encountering. Randomly when I click on the taskbar, an explosion (literally 50-100+) of taskbar "open windows" occurs on the main display. Only way to get rid of it is to reboot. I have run without UM for the past week with no recurrences, so it seems to me to be UM causing this issue.
