the beta phase for 3.0 has been extremely long now. Is there any time plan when we can expect a 3.0 final version?

3.0.5 will still be beta, unfortunately I don't have a release date yet.

When is it going to actually fully work without bugs in Vista.
Vista is years old and this month will be SP2 then Windows 7 will be here in 2010 so I think its about time this application worked.

I've been using the 3.0.4 beta with Vista x64 for awhile and it seems to work well overall (did crash once I think but not sure why), but I would also like to see a release and, int the future, Windows 7 support.

@jhuk - Software development is a big process. Microsoft changed a lot of fundamental things in Vista. I'm personally hoping and suspecting that the shift from Vista to Win7 will be much easier than Xp to Vista.

Right click on Ultramon and check out the list of program exceptions. Now you will realize how hard this job is.
Most programs were never designed to work with two taskbars, so Ultramon's job is like rolling a big boulder up a hill. There are always glitches, and if you fix it, then another glitch comes up.
These days, all sorts of beta-quality software programs are released as final. The fact that the version 3 series is still called a beta after all this time is simply calling a spade a spade. If we just called it a final, would that somehow magically change anything?
Windows 7 will have fewer compatibility issues overall. However, Ultramon is peculiar because the taskbar has been altered significantly in Windows 7, whereas it wasn't changed too much in Vista.

@ Ryan, that's why we had Longhorn Alpa/Beta/RC/ builds.
Vista is old enough now it should work, FFS the SP2 is about to RTM.

The OS is Final 2 years ago, I don't care if this App is Beta or Final or not but it should work (it does not work 100% in Vista without glitches).
I can "Bitch" all I like because I paid for this App (had to due to trial period being expiring with promise of more builds soon).Y
You do not seem to be able to read if you cannot see my complaints in this forum (1 basic aspect I need fixed).
Unlike some users I do it politely and constructively but I will hit out at lamers like yourself who call me a a "Bitch".
Not say something constructive or STFU.
