Hello,

at the moment I´m testing UltraMon 3.0.4 on my vista ultimate x64 system. I got two reproducers with diffrent resolutions. An monitor with 1920*1200 (as primary) and an crt-projector (as secondary) with 1920*1080. So I run these devices with display-extension...

Now my question:
I would set shortcuts (folders and applications) on my secondary display (projector) to run these on it. If I set shortcuts on my secondary display and execute them, they open on my primary display.
How can I say my system that it have to open folders and programms on their actual display where the mouse is?

How can I make this? That have to be possible with UltraMon???

The UltraMon setting shortcut allow programms only this function. Is there not an other way?

Greetings from germany

So at the moment I´m a little smarter with ultramon...
But I don´t know about if there are many bugs or the programm is not able to do shortcuts (of folder and many programms) to an certain monitor.
If I try to create an shortcut directly on the settings I had no succes at all! Actually at one time my pc got a blue screen and restart??? oh oh :-(

Now I saw that the settings are also available directly about the shortcut self.
So I tried and had only succes with windows media player and mozilla firefox... a lot of other programms and folders itself doesn´t work!

Thereto divx got no support with UltraMon at all!
The only way I can put the programm to my secondary display is hand-pushed! Hotkeys doesn´t work...

Hope somebody can give me some answers

Regards

Unfortunately shortcuts to folders won't work, UltraMon can't position Windows Explorer windows. But in general this should work fine, with what applications did you have problems?

I use Bayden SlickRun in WinXP Pro 32 bit to open several different Windows Explorer windows to specific folders, and Explorer does a pretty good job remembering the size and monitor each window last had.
http://www.bayden.com/SlickRun/

Example MagicWord entry

MagicWord
zdownloads

Filename or URL
C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE

Parameters
/e, "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\zDownloads"

(note the /e and quoted path. It took me some time to figure those out.

I have several MagicWords for project folders, family folder, etc. Just the path in Parameters (and the MagicWord) are different.

Slickrun does indeed kick ass. I have been using it for many pleasant months now. Its a great utility to streamline launching applications, especially with customized command line parameters.
