Hi!
Got a (small) problem : even if both cards are set to 65K colors (or btw even if I set them to 32/24 bit colors) icons show with 16 colors only (of course "show icons with all possib. colors" is set :)).

If i turn off one of the two monitors, icons show up in full colors :)

Any hint ?

My setup :
Windows 2000SP2
Creative Labs 3D Blaster Ultra (nVidia TNT2 Ultra, 32MB) AGP
S3 ViRGE 325, 2MB, PCI

The system boots with the virge but in win 2000 is the TNT2 set as primary monitor.
TNT2 usually runs 1152x864x65k@100Hz, Virge 800x600x65k@60Hz.

I have the same problem with my v3/s3 virge gx setup. I believe it has something to do with the s3 virge (considering I've met people with the same problem, and they all use the damn card) any solution would be greatly appreciated, as I am still hunting one down myself.

there is a bug in windows 2000
that unless the cards are in exactly the same mode you get crappy icons

the tnt 2 does 565 high colour (16bit)
the other card does 555 high colour(15bit)

the only way you will get around it is to either go with windows xp (its fixed in that)
or set both displays to 32bit colour

Very much thanks :)
Sadly true color for TNT2 is 32bit, while for S3V is 24 :(
