After upgrading to 3.0.5 windows explorer crashes when I try to view my hard drive. I have to use system restore to fix it. I have tried to install twice with the same appcrash. I am using Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

Haven't seen this myself so far, Windows Explorer works fine for me with UltraMon 3.0.5 installed.
Did you reboot the system after the upgrade? This is necessary because the explorer.exe process may still have loaded the old version of a hook used by UltraMon, which can cause a crash when upgrading UltraMon.

i rebooted uninstalled ultramon, rebooted and the same thing happen.

I removed ultramon 3.5, restarted and then re-installed. seems to work ok now. maybe there was a remenant not fully removed.
