Hi,
I have a 24 and 22 inch monitor. When I use the extra buttons on the window title bar and try to move the window from the 24 to the 22 (if the window is at full size) it won't move across, it just kind of 'shakes' the window. If it isn't full size it moves fine. I tried going back to an earlier version but encountered the same problem (I am using the latest Beta). Can I alter anything to get around this problem?
Thanks.

Does this happen with all maximized applications, for example also Notepad or Internet Explorer?

I switched to an earlier version and nothing changed, so I went back to the beta and everything seems to be fine now. :)

This problem has started again. It happens when going from a 24 inch 1900x1200 to a 22 inch 1680x1050. The window just 'shudders' and settles to the same size on the original window.

If anything I've noticed it the most with Notepad - I've just started using Notepad2 and it's been happening with that - I'm using Internet Explorer at the moment and just tried to move it - just a flicker and it stayed on the same monitor. I just tried with an exe program and that moved fine.

Maybe there's a problem with the display configuration, please post the system information from UltraMon menu > About.

It says there that the workspace is 1915 - that made me think of the fact that I use the program 'Desktop Sidebar' which pokes out by 5 pixels by the looks.

It's not a factor though - I shut it down and expanded a notepad and it still wouldn't move.....

That looks okay, the sidebar won't cause problems for UltraMon.
One thing you could test: go to UltraMon Options > Compatibility, configure settings for Notepad or another application, then check the 'use alternative method to move maximized window' option. Let me know if that fixes the problem for that application.

That seems to have worked (well I can't make it happen at the moment). I'll let you know if it re-appears. Thanks for your help.

Yes, definitely working.

Do you have a minimize to tray utility, shell enhancement software (WindowBlinds etc) or a video card utility (Nvidia nView Desktop Manager for example) installed which might interfere with this?
If yes, try if disabling the application fixes the problem.
As a workaround you could tell UltraMon to use the alternative move method for all applications, to do this run AltMoveAllApps.reg.

Great, that's fine by me - I ran the Software, I'm not fussy about the method, as long as it works. Thanks again.
