I am trying to help an app developer to get these two buttons in the right place in his custom window. Right now, only the Move Window button shows up (the other button might be exactly covered by the first one), but they cover the Exit ( X ) button.
The button shows up correctly in all Windows XP Home SP3 windows, that is, it looks like this:
<> [ ->] – [ ] X
Now, I cannot remember how I got the two UltraMon buttons to place themselves to the left of the – (Minimize) button. Can someone tell me?

This will only work with UltraMon 3 though, version 2 doesn't try to detect custom window buttons.

Christian, I guess that the placement of the "Move Window" button and the "Maximize to Desktop" button is determined by the setting in "Custom spacing between custom and standard windows buttons".
If so, I must have added a value there once, because my buttons are as follows:
<> [->] – [ ] X
But there is now no pixel value in the "in pixels:" box? How come?

This setting will move the UltraMon buttons to the left for all applications. This would fix the problem with the application, but with all other applications you would then have a gap between the UltraMon and regular window buttons.
The only real fix for this would be if UltraMon can detect the custom window buttons of the application (might require changes in the application or UltraMon). As a workaround you could also disable the window buttons for the application under UltraMon Options > Compatibility.
