Forums -> UltraMon™ -> Window buttons breaks QuickEdit paste in console windows

UltraMon 3.0.5 beta, Win XP SP3.

When you enable QuickEdit mode for console windows -- e.g. cmd.exe -- you can paste text into the window with right-click. This facility stops working in UltraMon when you add window buttons to console windows (which is on by default, and no obvious way to remove it).

I've set a compatibility exception for cmd.exe as a workaround, which is fine. I've just set cmd.exe to not have window buttons, and that's all it takes to resolve the problem (the other compatibility settings appear not to be related to the problem).

It's not a serious problem as changing the window buttons setting takes effect live on command windows and right-click-paste comes back the instant the buttons are dynamically removed from the windows. What I do notice is that right-clicking causes the two buttons to flicker briefly.

Cheers

Daniel.

A couple other users have reported this as well, but I've never been able to reproduce the issue, QuickEdit works fine for me with the window buttons enabled for console windows.

If you find out anything else, for example it only happens when using a specific console setting, or when another application is running as well, let me know and I'll look into it.
