Using an old laptop as an additional monitor

With software like MaxiVista you can use an old laptop as an additional monitor. The main system and the laptop need to be connected to the same network, and once you have MaxiVista installed on both computers, the laptop monitor will show up as an additional monitor on the main system.

Please note that Aero isn't supported on Windows 7 and Vista, the theme will be switched to Basic when you use MaxiVista. Other limitations are similar to USB video cards: some processing power is used, and there is only limited support for 3D applications and games.
