Hello,
Added 2nd monitor to laptop now headphones not working ... it switchs to laptop speakers?

Are you connecting the new monitor via HDMI? It might be enabling HDMI audio, which might affect the sound settings, so you might have to make adjustments to the sound settings to get the headphones back.
