Since installing version 3.0.9 RC, I have had occurrences of two instances of UltraMon running at startup. I use GoodSync to synchonize folders, including Startup between current user and All Users. Since installing UltraMon 3.0.9 RC, GoodSync has flagged a conflict for UltraMon, indicating that it has changed in both folders. It seems that upon startup, there is a time lag for UltraMon between current user and All Users, so that the shortcuts have different time stamps. This is apparently causing two instances to launch. This can be corrected each time by synchronizing the two shortcuts; however, this should not be necessary. Is this a bug that will be corrected? Thanks.

Another user with the same problem mentioned that this is due to incorrect registry settings, see this forum thread for more information. It's in German, but the registry settings mentioned near the end of the thread should also apply to an English system.
UltraMon version 3 always gets installed for all users, you should never have any per-user shortcuts.

I have having same problem but don't understand the German...
When I add Ultramon.exe to start up it does a link to it. And it shows up twice, has two toolbars on top of each other and locks up the toolbars so I cant access anything. Only solution is to kill one running in the task maanger processes.
But the remaining UltraMon in task bar will not open. If delete it from start up.. won't start and make my desk icons on current monitor etc.
Also getting opening a task which disappear in none of my 4 screens which never had before. One winds up in far far don't know its there corner of a monitor and drag it and its 3 monitors wide. I can reset to just one monitor but it doesn't hold. Always opens can not see its there but if but cursor on far side of screen it finds it.
These two problems might be related. Have used for many years and not had this issue before.

Well.. on reboot... Taking out the short cut solved the double install but before when I didn't have it it didn't load at all.
I still have a mail program (Chaos Intellect) when I reply or New message the new screen flashes and than still moves beyond the monitor with no clue it is there and not showing on any task bar but almost by accident found it on extreme right and can drag it back 3 screens. But can't seem to change anything just reopens again off screen.

If you get two instances again see this thread for more information in English.
Regarding the issue with the mail program: once you have moved the window back to the visible desktop, try closing it there, most applications will then save the position of the window and open it on that monitor the next time.
