Hi i have my pc monitor no.1 and my plasma no2. cant see both visually together as in different rooms. I want to be able to either shortcut a programme from monitor 1 pc say windows media player so it starts up in full screen on monitor2 plasma. then i can control programme on plasma with ir remote.
Or view all on my pc monitor 1 and switch between monitor 1 and 2 but viewing on my pc. for example i think when on my pc i can start a programme the click the ultramon arrow to send it to the other monitor, which i cant see as in other room, then i can switch from my pc mon to the other mon plasma but viewing what on my plasma on my pc monitor. then to expand and start playing film etc then switch back. also i don't want to mirror.
Any suggestions would be most grateful. hope the above makes sense

You could use the MirrorMon add-on to display the contents of monitor 2 on monitor 1.

Didn't really want to use mirroring as hadn't before in previous version.
What i want to do is to be able to switch to the other monitor from my pc. for instance im on my main monitor.. pc. i open a programme and then click to move it to the plasma screen. then i want to be able via shortcut see the plasma on my pc screen. then i can maximize the programme and switch back to my pc screen.
Could do it on previous version of ultramon. only lost as i went from windows7 rc to windows prof and forgot to make a note of the settings and/or script.
any ideas anyone.

Most likely you were using the Monitor Preview feature, version 3 doesn't have this yet (will be back later), but MirrorMon basically does the same thing.

That's correct, what you could do is move the mouse to the other monitor, you will then see it in the MirrorMon window and you can then interact with the application that way.
