Forums -> UltraMon™ -> "Live" Thumbnail of second monitor?

Here's something interesting ... ;)

Sometimes (ok, ALOT, lol) I'll have some program/window that I've moved over to my secondary display, and then close it while it's still there.

Then the next time I start that same app that was on the 2nd display it'll naturally restart itself where it last was; but in general unless I'm doing some serious multi-tasking, I'll keep my 2nd monitor off, so I completely forget that I last had it running on that monitor, and keep spacing out, wondering WHY the program isn't opening even though I KNOW I just clicked it's shortcut, until I suddenly remember that I had last had it open on the 2nd display.

What would be ultra-uber-mega-mondo-helpful for space outs like me would be to have a small "live" thumbnail that shows a mini version of your 2nd monitor right on your main monitor's screen so I can see at a glance that it's over there (and to fire up that monitor).

I think just hovering the cursor over the Ultramon tray icon to bring up the thumbnail would be great; added bonus if you could also choose to have it always floating on your screen (movable to your preferred location oc screen of course) and added added bonus if you could toggle whether that floating thumbnail was "always on top".

See? I'm a genius! :D

Thanks for listening,

Do you disable the second monitor via UltraMon or Windows, or only by turning it off via the button on the monitor?

I always use the actual button on the monitor.

I would recommend disabling the monitor via UltraMon as well, for example with a display profile, that should fix the issue for most applications.

But you could also use the MirrorMon add-on to see what's on the second monitor, this will use some CPU though (if it's not minimized).
