I keep seeing people say that workshops completely transform their approach to photography, but I’m wondering how true that actually is. Is it more about learning technical skills, or do they really help you start seeing landscapes differently—like composition, light, and timing on a deeper level?

Yeah, I’ve wondered about that too. Feels like “completely transform” is a bit of a stretch, but I can see how it might shift your perspective. Most people don’t come out with brand new technical skills. it’s more about how u see a scene. Things like noticing light changes, being more intentional with composition, or even deciding when a shot isn’t worth taking. That kind of stuff is harder to pick up just from YouTube or shooting alone.
