Sorry posted before on the beta forum by mistake...
This has been frustrating for a long time... I could not understand why my computer would freeze for about a minute whenever I turned on the Windows Media Player toolbar and minimized that application. I would make my computer non responsive until it was able to finally display the WMP mini toolbar on the taskbar. I posted to the Microsoft newsgroups but no one seemed to have any idea, I tried google many times but with no luck.. Finaly I tried turning off ULTRAMON and the WMP toolbar appeared with no delay at all! What is causing this.. can I do something so I can fix the problem???? I am using ultra mon 2.6. When I turn off the second taskbar (smart taskbar) the problem goes away. But when I have it on, the problem occured despite on what monitor I have WINDPOS MEDIA PLAYER. Please advise....
The person has the same problem: http://realtimesoft.com/multimon/forum/messages.asp?Topic=2967&tmpl=UltraMon

Unfortunately I don't know what might cause this, I also can't reproduce this issue.
I tested with UltraMon 2.6 and WMP 10 on Windows XP SP2. WMP was using the default skin and was running in full mode.
If you use different settings or a different version of Windows, let me know and I'll look into it.

Hello... the strange thing is that it does not happen immediately.. say you minimize and maximize WMP 10 times.. it starts happening the eighth! Sometimes you have to load a song and then it happens. Its strange. All I can see from the task managers I have is that explorer.exe goes to 100% for a minute perhaps more...sometimes the freeze is so bad I have to terminate the WMP process to get the PC unstuck. If I turned off the smart taskbar, it works. But this is not on this machine alone and this installation I had tried on other machines some time ago and there was the same problem. I am sure there is a problem. But the hard part was finding out that Ultramon was causing the delay. I thought it was a bug in WMP so I was looking for that.
My computer has WMP10 and XPSP2.

What process priority are you using for the Smart Taskbar?
This option is under UltraMon Options > Smart Taskbar.
